I actually went thrifting today. I am in search of a Freddy Kruger-esque sweater. I want to make my own rendition of his look for Halloween, but only if I find that sweater!
For today's look, I just went with black, white, and teal:

• White button up: Thrift store - .99
• Teal shorts: Thrift store (cut and sewn) - .99
• Black and gold belt: Thrift store: .25
• Gold heels/snake ear cuff: eBay
• Black scarf: Ross - $4
• Gold Fox bracelet: Gift from my sister

Green Tea

Aside from shopping on eBay and thrift stores, I tend to take a lot of clothes from my mom's closet. A friend asked me a tough question of: if you could choose one, eBay or your mom's closet, what would you choose? I have no answer for this because it's hard to choose!
I was browsing her closet because she told me to put something up in there. She has so much and some still have tags on them. So I figured to make use of it some of it! A great example would be this Lacoste sweater I found in her closet.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

What a cliché title, right? But seriously. It needs to go away. The only good thing that is coming out of this rain is that the rest of the week, the weather is absolutely great (except tomorrow that is). 

As for upcoming fall trends, my favorite is the (faux) leather trend. Ahh. Personally, I think a little bit of leather can make a whole look, look chic.

In the fall and winter, I tend to wear more button ups because I feel as the weather is usually appropriate for one! I can't wait to start layering and whatnot.

I went over to my cousins' house and found out their backyard was a secret, awesome photo taking spot.

For my look, I went pretty simple mainly because the heat was uber hot. Next week, the weather is supposedly going to be a bit cooler. Finally.

It finally stopped raining today. That means I could curl my hair again! I leave my hair straight on rainy/uber humid days because if I were to curl it, the parts that get wet by the rain would just go straight again, while the parts that did not get wet just looks a mess. Who else does this!? Or coordinates their hair to the weather?

Happy September

It's officially September first. And why is it not cold yet!? For the next few days, it is only going to rain. I checked the weather for Monday in Atlanta (which I decided kind of last minute to go with some friends!) and it's raining there too! Oh well. Rain doesn't really stop me from shopping. Haha!

For my look today, I went with a nude and black. I've had this skirt for a couple months now, and never worn it. When I first saw it, I loved it. Then the more I looked at it I was like ehhh it will make me look like a school girl. And so today, I found it again and tried to pair it with things that made it less school girly.

It finally rained today, after the weather stated that it was suppose to rain Tuesday. The worst is when it's hot and raining.
As for today's look, I kept it comfortable and simple.
