Class of 2016

I have hit another mile stone in my life where I am able to say I have my degree. It has been such a long journey, especially because I was constantly hopping back and forth between Tennessee and New York. I am thankful that my professors let me stay in NY for as long as I have while sending them my work online. Sure, I could have transferred, but that would have been such a process. Not only my professors I am thankful for, but my family and close friends to encourage me to keep going for that degree.

I can now stay put in New York!

Machines in Motion | MTSU Fashion Show

 Here it is! The yearly fashion show held at MTSU for the TXMD (textile merchandising) program where student designers come together to make one awesome show, showing the talent in middle TN. And as the second part of the show, it showcases the senior designers. Who, in my opinion are totally up and coming.

I got the pressure of opening up the show! Talk about nervewrecking. The show was titled "Machines of Motion' where it takes you through the decades. From rags to riches type ordeal starting with the Great Depression, going through art deca, and ending with glamour.

As for the senior collection part, there really is some outstanding talent here. It's kinda ridiculous.

TXMD | Dear McQueen : Walking Into Wonderland

The last day of MT Fashion Week has finally come. I am glad to be a part of such a fun experience leading up to now! The last show of the week was a contribution to the one and only, Alexander McQueen. Every piece was inspired by him and everything was way too awesome. It was so fun and I cannot wait till next year to do it again!

Middle Tennessee Fashion Week | MTSU

About a month ago, I had a photoshoot with an organization I'm in called, FaDS. Which stands for Fashion and Design Students. It was a shoot to promote Middle Tennessee Fashion Week at MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University (uni that I am currently attending)). It was a fun shoot! They're based on Fashion's Night Out campaign (hence the black and white!).

So if you're in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area, come out to the events. You'll see me in them or in the crowd!
