Another great season of New York Fashion Week has gone by. Women's fashion week was definitely different from men's back in July. For one, it was so long. It actually started on the 9th of September for me, so fashion week was actually more than a week! There were more so presentations going on that day. The real madness started on the the 10th.
I expected fashion week to be hectic, but not this hectic. Now, this madness I speak of actually started a week before fashion week. aka castings week. So I was already running around the city to castings, but once fashion week took off I was almost done-zo. My schedule was packed with invites to attend shows, but I also had castings, fittings, and an actual show to walk in. So when I tell you the beads of sweat came out, they came out alright.
For some of you who has never done fashion week, this season (for women's FW), a few new venues opened up since Lincoln Center is no longer the main domain. So imagine the headache trying to get to point A to point C when the venues are a long stretch on the west side. Let's just say thank goodness for the production for always being late and starting the shows about 30 minutes later than planned.
'Is it Dior?' was the main question I was asked this day.
p.s. Check out this butter ball hairstyle I got goin' on. B-)
